Frances is an award-winning PhD researcher and Assistant Lecturer in medical law at the University of Oxford, where her doctoral research develops the first comprehensive strategy to reduce harms experienced by women in NHS maternity wards across the United Kingdom. Her work sits at the intersection of medical law, equality, criminal law, and human rights, with a strong public policy focus. As she approaches the final stage of her PhD, she is increasingly engaged in translating academic research into real-world impact, including presenting her work at the Mexican Supreme Court and the World Congress of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Alongside her research, she has extensive teaching and mentorship experience across undergraduate, postgraduate, and pre-university levels, reflecting a sustained commitment to legal education and academic leadership.
