“Pablo graduated with a magna cum laude bachelor’s in interdisciplinary studies at the University of Missouri-St. Louis where he majored in chemistry, anthropology, management and political science. There he continued with a master’s in science in biochemistry and biotechnology at the Dunlap Lab where he performed transcriptomic analyses on experimentally evolved populations of fruit flies with higher cognition or innate-bias. He was awarded the “Outstanding teaching assistant award” in May of 2017 at the University of Missouri-St.Louis. He was recipient of the “Harris Center Research Scholarship” in May of 2017 to fund his research thesis and he received the “Neurobiology of Drosophila 2017 registration award” on July 2017 from Cold Spring Harbor Laboratories to present his work in their annual meeting in Long Island, NY.
Teaching & Mentoring Experience
Pablo has mentored a multitude of high school and undergraduate students in multiple capacities, such as hands on bench research or simply literary review and guidance since 2014. Many of his mentees, published and achieved admission on outstanding programs such as Harvard, Stanford and Princeton due to their competitive research and writing efforts.
