Clara Isabel is a PhD candidate in economics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with research interests in labor economics and macroeconomics. She holds a BA in applied mathematics from Harvard University, graduating magna cum laude and as a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Prior to her doctoral studies, she worked in the private sector as an analyst on the European economics team at Goldman Sachs in London. At MIT, she has taught a full semester of the Writing and Communication course in economics, mentoring a small cohort of students through the process of developing and writing an original economics research paper.
